Haight Ashbury and Ashbury Heights: Victorians and Clinker Bricks

Greetings! This was a fairly easy walk covering 3.7 miles looking at points of architectural interest near the Haight.
The route started in Golden Gate Park across from the Conservatory for access to easy to get 4 hour parking.

This is the Stanyan Park Hotel, built in 1905 by Martens and Coffey, architects. Classic Revival Style and completely renovated.

This was an amazing house on Central near Haight, a "must see" up close to appreciate the flamboyance of the color choices and embellishments. Notice the heads above each window and above the door. This was built in 1904 by James Francis Dunn a noted architect with many examples of his work about town.

This was an appealing small scale house on Stanyan that puts color, simplicity and floral ornamentation to excellent use.
